Graduation Party

Come join in the celebration for our 3 graduates: Ashley Foss, Sasha Jensen, and Deacon Jeramy Jensen. Ashley is graduating with her BA in Social Work. Sasha is graduating with her post-master certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and Jeramy with his Master of Divinity. Our two parishioners Chuck and Diane will be hosting. Annual Diocesan Women’s Retreat

Please save the date and announce to your parish the Annual Diocesan Women’s Retreat May 17-19 as Cascades Retreat and Conference Center near Yelm, WA.

Registration should open in late January. Early registration is cheaper.

  1. This year our speaker is Bronwyn Short, wife of Rev. David Short of St. John’s ACNA in Vancouver, Canada (formerly Shaughnessy.)  She’ll teach on the Epistle to Titus, with the theme of keeping one’s faith alive in post-modern North America, specifically the culture of the NW.

  1. Retreat includes small group breakout discussions, plenary teaching and Q&A, and time for personal connection with the Lord, rest and renewal.  Optional intercessory prayer and/or healing ministry available Saturday afternoon of retreat. Awesome worship included.

  1. Minimal cost for 3 day retreat, meals and lodging (bunkbeds, private hot showers.) Parish groups may room together (multiple bunks.) We recommend parish carpools to save on transportation costs. Great way to find support and fellowship with other churches in Cascadia Diocese.

 

Intro to Quilting

Join us on April 27th at 1pm to learn the basics of English Paper Piecing led by Dorothy. She will be teaching how to do a very basic quilt pattern that can be done on the go whether you are sitting at the doctor’s office, on a car trip, or sitting inside on a rainy day. Dorothy will provide the fabric. If you would like to attend, please sign-up at church so she knows how much fabric to bring. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Movie Night

Location: Christ Our Hope Anglican Church

Time: 5:00pm

Cost: Free!

Join us the first Saturday night of every other month for a movie night were we will watch a different move each time and then have a theological discussion afterwards. Some movies may not be suitable for all ages or audience members, but childcare will be provided for free.  There will also be popcorn or a similar light snack but you are free to bring a snack to share.

The movie listings for the year will be released in January  so people can plan accordingly. The movie night in January will be church members only but beginning in March, we will invite the local community to join us.

We hope this event will not only be fun and entertaining, but stimulate good theological conversations as we get to know one another.
